In Greater Noida, an 18-year-old class 12 student committed suicide by shooting himself with his father’s licensed pistol. Before the incident, he deleted his mobile data and broke his laptop. Police have not found any suicide note and investigation into the case is ongoing.

A heartbreaking news has come from Greater Noida. Here an 18 year old student studying in class 12th committed suicide by shooting himself with his father’s licensed pistol. According to the police, this incident took place in Badalpur area on Saturday evening. The student’s name was Devkaran Rawal and he lived with his family in Dhoom Manikpur village. Devkaran studied in NTPC school in Dadri. He is survived by his parents and a younger brother, who is disabled. Devkaran’s grandfather is a former army man and now does farming, while his father runs a property business.

12th class student commits suicide with pistol

Police got information about this incident from the hospital, where the boy was taken in critical condition. SHO Amit Bhadana of Badalpur police station said that a police team immediately reached the hospital. There they learned that the student had been shot in the head. Police have sent the body for postmortem and the report is awaited.

Initial investigation revealed that while Devkaran’s parents were in another part of the house, he went to his room on the first floor. According to the police, he first deleted all the data from his mobile phone and then completely broke his laptop by throwing it on the ground. Soon after, he allegedly shot himself with his father’s licensed pistol.

Hearing the sound of the bullet, his parents ran upstairs in panic. There they found Devkaran lying on the floor soaked in blood. Hearing the noise, neighbors also gathered and helped take the injured boy to a nearby private hospital. Police said that doctors tried their best to save him, but he died during treatment.

No suicide note was found from the room. Investigators are now examining the student’s mobile phone records and social media activity to find out the possible reasons behind the incident. A senior police officer said that the pistol was usually kept in the cupboard of the father’s room. The family members told the police that they did not realize when the boy entered their room and took out the pistol. Further investigation is underway to find out the cause of the incident.
