Pressure of friendship and relationship became the reason for murder
Preliminary investigation by the police revealed that the accused youth was continuously pressurizing the girl for friendship and relationship. Due to the girl’s repeated refusal, he became very crazy. On the night of January 11, the accused strangled the girl to death in E-Block Beta-1 area and later threw the body in the sector area, so as to avoid identification and suspicion.
On Tuesday evening, there was an encounter between the police and the accused near Dhakiyawale Baba roundabout. During this, the accused was shot in the leg, after which he was arrested and admitted to the government hospital. The accused has been identified as Ankit Kumar, resident of village Jait Vaishpur Surajpur. The police have recovered the deceased’s mobile phone, an illegal pistol, two cartridges and a stolen car from him. The criminal history of the accused is also being investigated.
The accused was injured and arrested in the encounter between the police team (Police Station Beta-2, Police Station Ecotech-1 and SWAT team) and the accused murderer who faked the accident.
