Now you will not have to visit police stations or offices to lodge a complaint. Just pick up the mobile and convey your message directly to the authorities. Uttar Pradesh State Women’s Commission is preparing to launch a special app, which is being created especially keeping in mind the needs of Muslim women.
During the women’s public hearing held at Naveen Circuit House, Commission Chairperson Dr. Babita Singh Chauhan gave important information about this app. He told that many Muslim women are not able to reach the police station or government office due to social restrictions. In such a situation, this app will become an easy way for them, where they can lodge their complaint sitting at home.

That means, in a way, the entire system will be available on mobile only.
Why was this initiative necessary?
The feedback received during the public hearing revealed that:
- Many women are unable to leave the house due to social reasons.
- Some women are unable to go to the office again after complaining once.
- In many cases, pressure from family or society also comes to the fore.
Keeping these problems in mind, the Commission has taken this step, so that it becomes easier for women to get justice.
Information will reach every village
It is important not only to create an app but also to reach it to the right people. For this, the District Probation Officers have been instructed to make women aware about this app by organizing camps at the Gram Panchayat level.
What came to light in the public hearing?
A total of 44 cases were heard in the public hearing held on Tuesday, mainly:
- domestic violence
