This 82-year-old woman named Dai Shuying is famous for flying farming drones and selling farming products through live-streaming. According to the report of South China Morning Post, Shuying’s story is attracting everyone’s attention in China, because she has shown that if there is curiosity to know something, dedication to learn and support of family, then life can change at any age.
Dai Shuying was born in 1943 in Laomi Village, Tongcheng District, Anhui Province, China. In her youth she worked as a book-keeper. Since she knew how to read, write and do calculations, she became one of the few educated people in the village at that time. He has five children. Over time, his three children settled in cities. But Shuying returned to the village with her eldest son and grandson Wang Tianshan, 40, and together they began farming 40 hectares of land.
Growing age was not a problem for him. She used to do all the work with great enthusiasm. One day, his grandson brought home a farming drone to make farming easier. Shuying asked if he would teach them to drive it. Under Wang’s tutelage, Shuying quickly learned the basics. He learned how to install a 15 kg battery and do the necessary technical work. Gradually, Shuying learned everything from flying the drone, spreading its wings, filling fertilizer and spraying pesticide.
They got benefit in farming by abandoning the traditional methods of farming and using drones. Next, Wang began making a short video. The videos featured Wang’s daily activities.
