An incident that puts relations to shame has come to light from Devmau Jhiriya Tola under Rampurbaghelan police station of the district. Where a grandson strangled his grandmother to death to hide his illicit relationship with his aunt.
In this regard, according to the information received from Rampurbaghelan police station in-charge Sandeep Chaturvedi, the accused Qayamat Rawat, father Shivbahadur Rawat, age 20, was in an illicit love affair with his maternal aunt Bharti alias Kanchan, husband Amarjeet Rawat, age 25.
Conspiracy hatched due to fear of social disgrace
On February 5, Qayamat Rawat’s maternal grandmother Rukmani Adivasi saw him in a bad situation with his maternal aunt. After which both the aunt and nephew started fearing social and family disgrace due to the revelation of their illicit relationship. Then the nephew prepared a plan to remove his grandmother and deceased Rukmani from the way and as soon as he got the opportunity, he killed his grandmother.
Dead body was found in mustard field
It is noteworthy that she went missing around 4 pm on February 5th. The next day, on February 6, at around 5.30 pm, he was found dead near a bush in the ridge of a mustard field near Tirvai village. However, the police arrested both the accused namely nephew and maternal aunt Qayamat and Kanchan respectively and presented them in the court. From where both have been sent to the Central Jail.
Secret of death revealed by post mortem report
Police said that suspicion was raised due to marks of injuries and wounds on the mouth and face of the dead body of Rukmani. The post mortem report confirmed that the deceased died due to strangulation with wire. After which the police found that an offense under Section 103 (1) of the Indian Justice Code had been committed against the unknown accused and a case was registered against him and the matter was taken under investigation.
Accused broken in cyber cell and interrogation
With the help of cyber cell, details of mobile number and nearby witnesses and witnesses were interrogated. When the suspects Qayamat Rawat and Bharti alias Kanchan Rawat were interrogated, both the accused were Qayamat Rawat, father Shivbahadur Rawat, age 20 years, resident of Ragauli police station, Semaria district, Rewa hall, Devmau, Jhiria Tola police station, Rampur Baghelan district, Satna and Bharti alias Kanchan, husband Amarjeet Rawat, age 25 years, resident of Devmau. Jhiriya Tola Police Station Rampur Baghelan broke down and confessed to the crime, narrating the entire incident.
