Govt warns to mobile users: If you have a smartphone then there is very important news for you. In fact, a big warning has been issued by the Government of India for millions of smartphone users. The government has issued this warning people in view of protecting people from cyber crime.
The Cyber Crime Coordination Center of India (i4C) has asked smartphone users to immediately dictate some dangerous apps from their phone.
Cyber criminals are adopting new ways to make citizens a victim of cheating. They are now using technology for SIM card, mobile apps and other types of fraud. In such a situation, the I4C continues to release warning for smartphone users from time to time for the safety of citizens. This time the government has asked mobile users to immediately remove such apps which can use cyber criminals to steal personal information of people.
Do these apps immediately delete
The government crime portal has given strict advice to remove screen sharing apps such as Anydesk, TeamViewer, Quicksuppt from his mobile especially from his mobile. These apps can share the entire screen of users’ mobile with someone else. With this, details of OTP, bank related messages etc. coming on the phone can reach the criminals. Criminals can not only steal your personal information through these apps but can also take complete control of your phone in your hand.
Never install such apps
According to the government, many times people inadvertently install the apps and they do not even know its loss. Apps take many permission from users during installing process and can see the activity of the phone of cyber criminals users live on screen. The i4C has advised these screen share apps to never be installed again.
Complain here when there is fraud
If you inadvertently fall victim to cyber crime in any way, then you should immediately complain to www.cybercrime.gov.in portal. Along with this, you can file a complaint of cyber crime by calling the number 1930.
