The Union Cabinet on Tuesday approved several major schemes related to youth and infrastructure. The Union Cabinet has approved the incentive scheme related to employment, which will benefit in two phases.
In the first phase, a maximum of 15 thousand rupees will be given to the employees who get employment for the first time in two installments. The installment will be available in the sixth and 12th months of job. In the second phase, Rs 3000 per month will be provided. The entire scheme will focus on encouraging employment in the manufacturing sector. Addressing the press conference, Union Minister Ashwini Vaishnav said that the government will spend a total of Rs 1.07 lakh crore in this scheme.
Its purpose is to promote employment generation, increase in employment capacity and social security in all fields. It will pay special attention to the manufacturing sector. Information and Broadcasting Minister Ashwini Vaishnav said that this decision was taken in the meeting of the Union Cabinet chaired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The objective of this scheme is to encourage the creation of more than 3.5 crore jobs in the country in two years. Apart from this, this scheme will also encourage employees working for the first time.
For the first time, additional employees who are employed will be given an incentive of up to Rs 3,000 per month for two years. Employers will be encouraged in relation to employees with salary up to Rs 1 lakh. Employers for manufacturing can also be expanded to employers in the third and fourth year.
Play India policy approval
The Union Cabinet has approved a total of four major schemes. The Union Cabinet has approved the overall ‘Khelo Bharat Policy’. The National Sports Policy was implemented for the first time in 1984. After this, a new sports policy was released in 2001. Now the Central Government will implement the Sports India Policy 2025 under which the youth will be encouraged for sports. Ashwini Vaishnav said that our goal is to include the country in the top 5 countries of the world in terms of sports.
Research and innovation scheme
The Union Cabinet has approved the research, development and innovation scheme. The government will spend Rs 1 lakh crore in this Yonja. Under this, youth will be encouraged for research and innovation. Apart from this, the cabinet has approved the construction of 4-lane Parakudi-Ramnathpuram section (46.7 km) in Tamil Nadu at a cost of Rs 1,853 crore.
At present, the contact between Madurai, Parmakudi, Ramanathapuram, Mandapam, Rameswaram and Dhanushkodi is dependent on the existing two-lane National Highway 87 (NH-87) and the respective state highways. An official statement said that the project will change about 46.7 km of NH-87 from Parakudi to Ramanathapuram. This will reduce congestion on the road, and improve security. Also, this will promote tourism in Rameswaram and Dhanushkodi and will open new avenues of trade and industrial development.
