Industries are talking about tariffs and their effects. The government has made some plans. We will also bring the same scheme for companies affected by 50% tariffs. We cannot leave our exporters helpless. A package is being prepared for exporters. It will have to get approval from the cabinet.
GST reforms will reduce American tariff shock
Referring to the removal of two slabs of GST and reducing GST on everyday items, Finance Minister Sitharaman said that structural reforms have been made. This will cause less shock than American tariffs. “Possible tariff effects will be balanced with reforms like GST,” he said.
