Yogi government organized awareness and registration camps at labor bases to connect construction workers with schemes. On the spot, information about registration, renewal and girl marriage, education, maternity and serious illness assistance schemes was given.
People gathering in search of work are now getting information not only about employment but also about schemes for security, education and respect at the labor centers. The Yogi government has intensified its efforts to bring welfare schemes out of paper and onto the ground by directly reaching out to construction workers.
Yogi government has taken another concrete step towards providing real benefits of social security and government schemes to construction workers. On behalf of Uttar Pradesh Building and Other Construction Workers Welfare Board, awareness and registration camps were organized at major labor centers of the capital Lucknow, where along with giving information about the schemes to the workers, the facility of registration and renewal was provided on the spot.
The objective of these camps organized in Mohanlalganj, Buddheshwar and Barabirwa area of Ashiana was clear – to reach out to such workers who reach labor bases daily in search of employment, but due to lack of information remain deprived of government schemes. The focus of this campaign, which is being run on the instructions of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, is to improve the living standards of workers, strengthen children’s education and health security.

Scheme information, solutions at one place
In the camps, the construction workers were explained in detail about the major welfare schemes run by the Board. Schemes like girl marriage assistance, maternity and child assistance, Sant Ravidas education promotion, serious illness assistance, death and disability assistance were explained in simple language, so that the workers could properly know their rights and benefits. Along with information, registration of eligible workers and renewal of old registration was also done on the spot.
Special focus on children’s future, registration is the key to the schemes
During the awareness campaign, special emphasis was laid on Atal Residential School Scheme. For admission in classes six and nine for the academic session 2026-27, workers were motivated to include their children in this scheme. Workers registered with the board for at least three years were told that this scheme can give their children an opportunity for better education and a secure future.
The officials clearly explained to the workers that registration with the Board and its timely renewal is mandatory to avail the benefits of any scheme. The doubts of the workers were resolved in the presence of Labor Department officials and they were also informed that registration and renewal can be done easily through CSC e-District Centre, e-Governance Center or the official website of the Board.
The participation of workers in the camps indicates that if information and facilities are available at one place, then people show interest in joining the schemes. This effort of the Yogi government is not limited to mere announcements, but is an attempt to directly reach out to the labor bases and support the hands that strengthen the foundation of the development of the state. This initiative is not only opening the way for construction workers to access schemes, but is also being considered an important step towards securing the future of their families.
