Government opened the treasury… DAP fertilizer will not be expensive, Metro Phase-2 in Jaipur, know 5 big decisions of the cabinet

In the cabinet meeting chaired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, many important approvals have been given regarding the development of common man, farmers and infrastructure of the country. Union Minister Ashwini Vaishnav told in a press conference that the government has given its approval to 5 big projects worth a total of Rs 1 lakh 74 thousand 207 crore.

1- Huge subsidy on fertilizers to farmers (Rs 41,534 crore)

The government has decided to continue subsidy on essential fertilizers like DAP and NKPS for the upcoming Kharif crops. Rs 41,534 crore will be spent on this item. The biggest relief for the farmers is that even if the prices go up and down across the world, farmers in India will continue to get a bag of DAP for just Rs 1350 like before. The government itself will bear the additional burden of cost.

2- Paving the way for HPCL refinery in Rajasthan (Rs 79,459 crore)

To speed up industrial development, the government has approved a huge fund of Rs 79,459 crore to complete the project of HPCL Rajasthan Refinery Limited. This project will not only change the economic picture of Rajasthan, but will also create thousands of new employment opportunities at the local level.

3- Green signal to Phase-2 of Jaipur Metro (Rs 13,038 crore)

To eliminate the problem of increasing traffic jam in Jaipur city, the construction of the second phase (Phase-2) of 41 km long Jaipur Metro has been approved. This entire project will cost Rs 13,038 crore. With its construction, the journey of lakhs of daily commuters will become very easy and safe.

4- Kamla Hydro Electric Project (Rs 26,070 crore)

To smoothly meet the increasing demand of electricity in future, the government has given its final approval to ‘Kamala Hydro Electric Project’ with 1,720 MW capacity. Rs 26,070 crore will be spent on this huge hydropower project.

5- Kalai-II Hydro Electric Project (Rs 14,106 crore)

The cabinet has taken another major decision to further strengthen the energy security of the country. Under this, 1,200 MW ‘Kalai-II Hydro Electric Project’ has also been approved, the construction of which will cost Rs 14,106 crore.
