By March 2026, 5 four-lane roads and 4 flyovers will be ready in Gorakhpur. Projects like Deoria Bypass, Nausar-Padleganj Sixlane and Khajanchi Flyover will make the city’s traffic faster, safer and jam-free.

Gorakhpur. A modern and strong network of roads and flyovers will be visible in Gorakhpur in the new year. Five major projects related to four-lane roads will be completed by March 2026, while four overbridges and flyovers will also be completed in the same period. Due to constant monitoring and review of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, these construction works have gained momentum.

Road connectivity of the city will change in the next 3-4 months

The internal and external traffic of Gorakhpur will become much easier with the four-lane roads and flyover projects to be completed in the next three to three and a half months. With the completion of these projects, the problem of traffic jam in the city will be reduced and traffic will become faster and safer.

Deoria bypass will become the first four lane road to be completed

Deoria Bypass Road will be the first project to be converted into four lane.

  • Current progress: 95 percent

Its completion will provide great relief to the external traffic of the city.

Four lane road will be built from Padleganj to Bettiahata

The 1.80 km long road from Padleganj to Bettiahata intersection via Firaq Gorakhpuri Chowk is being made four lane.

This road will ease traffic in busy areas of the city.

Relief to Ayush University from four lane road from Bhathat to Bansthan

Bhathat to Bansthan road is being fourlaned in 11.60 km length.

Nausadh-Padleganj will be the city’s first six lane road.
