The initial theme Wicked: For Good officially expired on January 31, and the app now displays a message confirming that “New theme packs are coming.”
Theme Packs on Pixel phones provide a one-tap customization option, allowing users to refresh their device’s look with coordinated wallpapers, system colors, and sound effects. The feature simplifies customization by applying all visual and audio changes at once instead of requiring manual tweaks through settings.
New Pixel Theme Packs Are Coming Soon
According to 9to5Google, Google has stopped promoting the “Wicked”- For Good theme pack when users change wallpapers on Pixel devices. The first theme pack was introduced back in November with three distinct styles”For Good,” “Glinda,” and “Elphaba”each inspired by the film’s characters and designed to give Pixel phones a unique themed look.
In its place, Google now shows a teaser message saying, “New theme packs are coming soon.” However, the “More” button on the page currently does nothing, leaving users guessing about what themes might arrive next.
While Google has not yet revealed what the next set of theme packs will include, the updated in-app message suggests that more collaborations or original designs could arrive soon. Future packs may expand customization options and give Pixel users more ways to personalize their devices.
