32-year-old Piyush Kapoor from Lucknow has passed the UPSC exam while working for Google in America. He secured 402nd rank in his 5th attempt and will now resign from Google to serve the nation.
Lucknow: Every year lakhs of people give Civil Services exam, but only a few are able to pass this difficult exam. Many people leave good jobs and prepare for this for years. But a 32 year old boy from Uttar Pradesh has done this amazing thing while working for Google in America. Piyush Kapoor, resident of Lucknow, has secured 402nd rank in the UPSC exam.
Piyush has achieved this success in his fifth attempt. He used to work for Google during the day and study at night. Piyush says that working in two different time zones helped him a lot in achieving his goal. Despite having a good salary and a big position in Google, Piyush always dreamed of joining the Indian Civil Service. For this he worked hard. After finishing office work, he used to spare two to three hours daily for studying.
Piyush Kapoor works in Google’s office located in Mountain View, America. He is a software engineer in the security division of Gmail. With this job he prepared for the Civil Services Examination. They received Indian newspapers and other study materials in the evening according to American time.
As soon as he returned home from his Google job, he would immediately sit down to study. It is the passion to leave the huge salary of a corporate company and serve the country and society that has brought Piyush into civil service. 32 year old Piyush has decided that he will resign from Google job as soon as he gets the posting.
