UP Rozgar Mission: The Yogi government is taking new initiatives to provide employment to the youth at national and international level. Lakhs of youth of UP are getting a better future due to employment fair, Sevamitra portal and job opportunities abroad.
Uttar pradesh employment mission: Today, every youth is looking for a better job and a safe future. But the question is whether the opportunity will be limited only within the country or will now cross the borders? The answer to this question has brought the ambitious initiative of the Uttar Pradesh government – Uttar Pradesh Employment Mission.
Why was the employment mission started?
Under the leadership of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, the state government realized that the path of employment should not be limited to local jobs only. The mission started with this thinking. Its purpose is to provide the youth not only national but also internationally.

How are the new opportunities opening abroad?
The government has informed that the demand for nurses, care gatherings, drivers and construction workers from countries like Japan, Germany, Croatia and United Arab Emirates is increasing. These jobs are expected to get salary of up to Rs 1.50 lakh. This will not only give the youth respectable and safe work, but will also get rid of the compulsion to go abroad from illegal routes.
How much progress has been made so far?
Under this mission, 5,978 workers have got employment in Israel, while preparations are underway to send 1,383 more workers. It is estimated that this will give the state a remedy of about Rs 1,000 crore. This will directly strengthen the state’s economy and will contribute to the target of ‘One Trillion Dollar Economy’.
How many got jobs from employment fairs?
The state government organized a large scale employment fairs to provide employment to the youth at the local level. From 1 April 2017 to 30 April 2025, 13,64,501 candidates got jobs in the private sector in a total of 10,830 employment fairs. These fairs not only gave opportunities to the youth but also provided skilled and trained employees to companies.
Not only a job but also career guidance
The Yogi government believes that it is not only enough to get a job, but it is also important to get the right direction. For this reason, 24,493 career counseling programs have been organized so far, which gave guidance to about 26.5 lakh youth. Especially the youth of rural areas have benefited from this, where many talents were left behind due to lack of information.
Employment sitting at home with Sevamitra Yojana
Sevamitra portal has been introduced to ensure employment at the local level. So far 52,349 workers have been registered on this. These include services such as Plumber, Electrician, Painter, AC Mechanic and Beautician. This scheme is giving permanent means of income to the workers and people are getting quality services sitting at home.
