Good news for railway passengers, 20 percent discount will be available for taking tickets together

Whenever festivals come across the country, there is a huge crowd at almost every railway station. People have to travel thousands of kilometers and do it. Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnav has given a big gift for this crowd and safe journey. According to this, if you tickets both coming and going together, then you will be given a discount of 20 percent. The Ministry of Railways has started a “round trip package” regarding this.

During the festive season, the Indian Railways has started a new scheme to protect it from huge crowds and ticket fighting in trains. Its name is round trip package for festival Rush, the aim of this scheme is to distribute the crowd on different days by giving tickets to the passengers at a cheaper rate so that the journey can be comfortable and convenient.

Who will get the discount of this scheme?

According to the Railways, under this scheme, if a passenger books the ticket on both sides and goes together, then a rebate of 20% will be given on the base fare of the return journey.

Exemption will be available only to those passengers who will book tickets to come and go with the same name and details. Both tickets should be of the same class and the same station pair. Tickets for arrival: It should be for travel between October 13 to October 26, 2025. While the return ticket be for traveling between 17 November to 1 December 2025.

What are the things to take care of?

According to this new scheme, the ticket to come will have to be booked first and after that the ticket for return will be booked with the connecting journey feature. While booking a return ticket, the rule of Advanced Reservation Period (ARP) will not be applicable. The condition is that tickets on both sides should be confirmed only. No change in tickets can be made. There will be no refund facility. While booking the return ticket, no other discount, voucher, pass, PTO or rail travel coupon will not be applicable.

This scheme is applicable in all classes and all trains, including special trains. Trains with Flexi Fare will not have this facility. Both tickets will have to be booked through the same means-e or will have to do it from online (internet) or from the reservation counter. If there is any difference in fares at the time of the chart, then no extra money will be taken from the passengers.

Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnav believes that this offer will divide the crowd of passengers on different dates during festivals. Special trains will be used properly from both sides and passengers will be able to get tickets easily. For this, the Railways has instructed to conduct detailed publicity through announcements at press, media and stations.
