Tilak put on 42 with Nick Gubbins, 58 with Ben Brown and a crucial 126 with Felix Organ to cut short Nottinghamshire’s massive first-innings total. Hampshire still need 61 runs to avoid the follow-on but they should be safe from defeat ahead of the final day on Friday.
