Good News for Mahindra Scorpio Classic Fans: Facelift Likely to Launch Soon With New Design, Sunroof and More

The Mahindra Scorpio Classic could receive a significant facelift later this year, if recently leaked digital renders are any indication. The updated SUV is expected to feature refreshed exterior styling and, for the first time, a sunroof, while continuing with its 2.2-litre diesel engine and rear-wheel-drive configuration.  has not officially confirmed the leaked images or announced a launch schedule.

Mahindra Scorpio Classic Facelift: Expected Changes

There is a high probability that the upcoming facelift of the Scorpio Classic will feature an entirely new front fascia sporting the mesh pattern grille, which will replace the current vertical slat grille. Moreover, the front bumper seems to be redesigned with the larger silver-colored skid plate.

From the front view, the fog light housing has changed, whereas the headlamps will keep their current shape. The daytime running lights fitted in the bumper might give way to chrome trim. However, it is not certain that the manufacturer will move the DRLs into the headlamp cluster.

In terms of profile, the changes will be relatively subtle. It is clear that there is a new front fender garnish, ORVM mounted turn signals, and new door/ wheel arch cladding without the silver accents seen on the existing model.

In addition, there is a suggestion of new five-spoke alloy wheels in black finish, new roof rails, and a new roof spoiler complete with a high mounted stop light on the SUV.

Mahindra Scorpio Classic Facelift: Sunroof

The most obvious change expected on the Scorpio Classic facelift is the addition of an electric sunroof, a feature never before included in any previous model of the SUV. The facelift will probably be fitted with a single pane sunroof, as per the recent leaks.

Although the interior design has yet to be unveiled by the company, the facelift version could come with upgraded cabin trim, new colour combination and an updated infotainment system. Mahindra hasn’t confirmed the complete list of features yet and details are still awaited from the company.

Mahindra Scorpio Classic Facelift: Expected Launch Timeline And Price

Mahindra has not officially announced when the Scorpio Classic facelift will debut. However, the refreshed SUV is expected to be unveiled at one of the brand’s upcoming events, with its market launch likely taking place later in 2026. Pricing details are yet to be revealed, but they are expected to be announced closer to the official launch.
