Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav has made a big announcement about the Ladli Bahna Yojana. Since Diwali, the amount of amount given under the scheme is being increased. CM himself has announced this.

CM Mohan Yadav said that more than 1.27 crore women beneficiaries of the government’s head Ladli Bahna Yojana will get a monthly assistance of Rs 1,500 instead of monthly assistance of Rs 1,250 after Diwali. CM said that a special budget of Rs 27,147 crore has been set for women, which includes Rs 18,699 crore for the Ladli Bahna scheme.

CM gave gifts to Ladli sisters

CM Mohan Yadav said at the Women Empowerment and Tribal Gaurav Sammelan on Friday, the beneficiaries of Ladli Bahna Yojana will get an additional Rs 1,250 and Rakshabandhan Rs 250. After Deepawali, monthly benefits will be increased to Rs 1,500.

He also said that 51 lakh girls have benefited from Ladli Laxmi Yojana, who have got assistance of Rs 672 crore.

When did the scheme start?

Ladli Bahna Yojana was started on 10 June 2023 by the then Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chauhan. At that time, the assistance amount for the beneficiaries was Rs 1,000, which was gradually increased to Rs 1,250. However, now after Deepawali, monthly benefits will be increased to Rs 1,500.

This scheme is credited with giving a stunning victory for the ruling BJP in the November 2023 assembly elections. Mohan Yadav also said that more than 9,000 tribal families have been given land rights under the Forest Rights Act. With this, he has promised 33 percent reservation for women in the upcoming Lok Sabha and Assembly elections.

  2. Ladli Bahna Yojana was launched by the previous Shivraj Singh Chauhan government in May 2023.
  3. The purpose of the Ladli Bahna Yojana was to financially empower the women of Madhya Pradesh.
  4. Under this scheme, it was decided to give 1000 rupees to married women aged 21 to 60 years.
  5. The first installment of this scheme was released on 10 June 2023.
  6. After this, on the occasion of Rakshabandhan 2023, the amount was increased to Rs 1250.
  7. However, this scheme worked as a magic stick for the BJP government in Madhya Pradesh.
  8. Now under this scheme, women have been getting Rs 15,000 annually at Rs 1250 per month.
  9. However, now women will get 250 rupees more after Diwali. 1,500 rupees will be given to women instead of 1, 250.
