PM kisan 20th installment: Millions of farmers across the country are eagerly waiting for the 20th installment of the PM-Kisan Samman Nidhi. The next installment of Rs 2,000 is likely to be released to the beneficiaries of PM farmer in July.
Meanwhile, eligible farmers can use this time to update their documents or any details. According to different media reports, PM Modi can release the 20th installment of PM Kisan Yojana in July 2025. Let us know that the last (19th) installment was released in February 2025.
Why is the 20th installment delayed?
The PM farmer’s installment usually comes in February, June and October. Many people expected a similar deadline this year. However, this time the 20th installment seems to be delayed as no official announcement has been made on the date so far. There is no official statement on why this time is being delayed. However, reports suggest that the amount is expected to be released by PM Modi in a program in July, which will be announced soon. Here is the way to update your mobile number for PM Kisan Yojana –
- Farmers get SMS alerts confirming the credits of PM-farmer installments on the registered mobile number.
- OTP-based Aadhaar verification requires the right mobile number. Mobile number is also required for status update, grievance redressal and reconstruction. Therefore, if your phone number is lost or is right now, the new number will have to be updated.
The way to update your mobile number on PM-Kisan portal is as follows:
1. Go to the official website – https://pmkisan.gov.in.
2. Scroll a little down on the homepage, click on ‘Update Mobile Number’
3. Enter your registration number or Aadhaar number
4. Enter the captcha code and click on ‘Search’ to proceed.
5. Once you get your profile, enter your new mobile number and click on submit.
6. Verify through OTP. For confirmation, you can get an OTP on the new number.
Offline mode – visit your local CSC or Agriculture Department
If you are unable to update the mobile number online, visit the nearest Common Service Center (CSC) or your local agricultural office with Aadhaar card, PM-farmer registration number and proof of mobile number ownership (if necessary).
How to complete e-KYC?
Since the installment is expected to come soon, the eligible farmers will have to complete it before that to avoid payment failure. E-KYC (Electronic No Your Customer) is mandatory for all PM farmer beneficiaries. Without it, your name can be removed from the beneficiary list. According to the official website of the scheme, “E-KYC is mandatory for PM farmer registered farmers.”
You can complete the e-KYC in three simple ways:
OTP-based e-KYC: If your Aadhaar is linked to your mobile number, then go to the PM farmer’s website and verify using OTP.
Biometric e-KYC: Visit your nearest Common Service Center (CSC) for fingerprint certification.
Facial Identification: A special facility is now available on CSC for senior citizens and physically disabled farmers, which allows e-KYC through facial identification.

Click ‘Know your status’
Enter your registration number or Aadhaar number
Check whether your name is in the beneficiary list or not
Also ensure that your EKYC is completed, as it is mandatory to release the installment.
What is PM Kisan Yojana?
The PM Kisan Yojana launched in 2019 has become the world’s largest DBT scheme after the then Finance Minister Piyush Goyal announced in the interim budget. Under this, eligible farmers get Rs 2,000 every four months, which are Rs 6,000 annually in the following cycles-April-July, August-November and December-March.

Should be a citizen of India
Should own cultivable land
Should be a small or marginal farmer
Pensioner should not be Rs 10,000 or more per month
Income tax should not be filed
Should not be institutional land holder.
