 Engagement details

Adrija Roy, known for her role as Raahi in the popular TV show Anupamaa, is set to get engaged to Mumbai-based Vignuesh Iyer on January 25, 2026. The ceremony will be an intimate affair at his farmhouse, attended only by close family members and friends, as reported by The Times of India. Adrija has taken three days’ leave from the Anupamaa production team, which supported her fully.

How love blossomed

The couple connected through their matching soft and down-to-earth personalities. Adrija shared, as quoted in the report, “I think it was our personalities that brought us closer. We are both very soft and down-to-earth. I had always wanted to be with someone outside my industry, and he felt just right. We feel like soulmates.” Their shared love for animals sealed the bond—Vignuesh cares for around 260 dogs and cows at his farmhouse.

Wedding plans ahead

The duo is taking it slow on marriage. Adrija explained, “We don’t plan to get married this year. He is South Indian (Tamil), and I am Bengali, so our cultures are completely different. My dream is to have a wedding that follows both South Indian and Bengali traditions. That needs proper time and planning, so we are thinking of getting married within the next two years.” This thoughtful approach highlights their respect for each other’s roots.
