Good news for air passengers, government reduced parking and landing charges

A relief news has emerged for air travelers and airline companies. The Central Government has directed the major airports of the country to reduce the fees related to landing and parking of aircraft by up to 25%. This decision has been implemented for three months at present, but its effect can be seen immediately. The move is aimed at supporting airlines that are facing financial pressure due to recent global tensions and rising costs.

With this decision of the government, the expenses of airline companies will reduce to some extent. When companies’ costs reduce, their benefits are likely to reach passengers as well. In such a situation, there may be a stop to the sharp increase in ticket prices in the coming time, due to which air travel can become a little cheaper and easier for the common people.

New rule will be applicable at airports

This instruction has been implemented on major airports under the Airports Economics Regulatory Authority. Apart from this, the same relaxation will also be given to small and non-major airports under the Airport Authority of India. It is believed that with this decision, airline companies can get relief of up to Rs 400 crore. However, airport operators may definitely suffer some loss due to this, but the government has also prepared a way to compensate for it. These losses will be adjusted during tariff determination for the coming five years, so that the operations of the airports are not significantly affected.

Relief efforts amid global crisis

The Civil Aviation Ministry has said in its statement that due to the ongoing tension in West Asia, the aviation sector has been affected globally. Due to this, there has been a huge jump in fuel prices, due to which the costs of airlines have increased. Despite this, India’s domestic aviation sector remains relatively stable. The government says that by taking this step in time, it has tried to reduce the pressure on the airlines. With this, problems like flight cancellation and sudden fare increase can also be controlled.

Government is keeping an eye

Civil Aviation Minister Ram Mohan Naidu said that the government’s priority is to make air travel accessible to more and more people. He also said that there has been a significant increase in the prices of aviation fuel globally, but efforts have been made to limit its impact in India. The Ministry is continuously monitoring the situation and if necessary, such steps can be taken in future also. It is clear that the government is actively working to keep this sector stable and provide relief to the passengers.
