Amidst the atmosphere of war in the Middle East, LPG carrier ship ‘Shivalik’ reached Mundra Port in India around 5 pm on Monday evening with gas from Qatar. This is said to be the first LPG ship to reach India amid the ongoing conflict in the Middle East.

46 thousand metric tons of LPG on board

About 46 thousand metric tons of Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) is loaded on the ship ‘Shivalik’. It is being told that this quantity is equivalent to approximately 32.4 lakh domestic gas cylinders. Supply of such a large quantity of gas is considered important for India in terms of energy supply.

The movement of ships through this route is being monitored amid the ongoing conflict and increasing tension in the Middle East. 2 more big ships are coming towards India

According to the Shipping Ministry, two more big ships are also on their way to India. A ship named ‘Nanda Devi’ is coming to India with about 46 thousand tonnes of LPG and it is likely to reach tomorrow i.e. Tuesday. The ship ‘Jag Ladki’ is moving towards India carrying about 81 thousand tonnes of Murban crude oil. It is being told that both these ships are also expected to reach Mundra port on Tuesday.

Iran’s big statement on Hormuz Strait

Meanwhile, Iran’s Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi has given a big statement regarding the Strait of Hormuz. He said that the Strait of Hormuz is closed to Iran’s enemies. According to Araghchi, even 15 days after the war started, countries hostile to Iran are now asking for help from other countries to ensure the security of this strait.

‘Countries which were enemies yesterday are now asking for help’

“They are asking for help from countries whom they called their enemies until yesterday, so that the Strait of Hormuz can remain open,” the Iranian foreign minister said. He said that from Iran’s point of view the strait is open, but closed to those countries and their allies that have launched military attacks against Iran.

America and Israel accused of starting war

Abbas Araghchi also said that the attacks by America and Israel started this war. According to him, in the initial phase of this conflict, unconditional surrender was demanded from Iran, but after that the situation became more serious.
