Gond Ki Pend Recipe: Winter season brings with it many problems. In this season, there is more lethargy, pain in joints increases and the body feels tired. Gum is such a thing which is considered most beneficial for giving strength to the body. But today we are going to tell you the recipe of not gum laddus but a sweet made from it called pend.
Gond Ki Pend is a traditional desi sweet, which is especially taken with milk. Since ancient times, it has been made in homes to increase strength, keep the body warm and remove weakness. The special thing is that it neither contains any chemical nor is it a very troublesome process. So let us tell you the recipe for making ball balls.

Gum is considered no less than a boon for winter. It has a hot nature, which not only keeps the body warm from inside but also gives many benefits. Regarding this, TV9 Bharatvarsh spoke to Dr. Vidya Sanjay Kedkar, Associate Professor of All India Institute of Ayurveda. He says that anti-inflammatory properties are found in gum, which help in making joints healthy. Not only this, gum has also been used in traditional ways to get relief from problems like arthritis. It provides relief from muscle stiffness in winter.
Gond Pend Recipe
Ingredients
250 grams gum 1 liter full cream milk 100 grams almonds 200 grams powdered sugar 4 tablespoons dry ginger powder 4 tablespoons peppermint powder 1 tablespoon white chilli powder 1 tablespoon poppy seeds (optional) Ghee for frying the gum.
Method of making gum paste
To make gum paste, first crush the gum and dry fruits coarsely. Now heat the gum in ghee until it swells. Now add boiling milk to the swollen gum. As soon as you mix milk in gum, it will curdle. But you have to keep stirring it until the gum completely dissolves in the milk. When the gum melts completely, add sugar to it. Along with this, also add almonds and poppy seeds. Keep stirring the pan continuously. Switch off the gas only when the vessel leaves the edge. After this add spices to it and cool it and store it.
Let us tell you that it is advisable to eat gum powder with milk. Milk and sugar together help in strengthening bones and boosting energy. You can easily store this paste for 10 to 15 days. Enjoy 1 teaspoon of Pend with a glass of milk every day.
