Uttar Pradesh Education Service Selection Commission (UPESSC) has already released the official notification for UP TET 2026. Through this examination, the path to becoming a teacher opens at primary i.e. class 1-5 and upper primary i.e. class 6-8 level. When will UP TET 2026 application start and what is the last date?
The online application process for UP TET 2026 will start from 27 March 2026. Candidates can fill the form till 26 April 2026. The last date for depositing the application fee has also been fixed for this day.
What is the application fee for UP TET 2026?
- General OBC and EWS Candidates: Rs 1000
- SC, ST Candidates: Rs 500
- Disabled candidates: Rs 300
How to apply online for UP TET 2026?
- To apply, first go to the official website upessc.up.gov.in.
- Now click on the link “UP TET 2026 Apply Online”.
- Make new registration here and fill the necessary information.
- Login and complete the application form.
- Upload the required required documents.
- Pay the fees and submit the form.
- Save the printout of the application confirmation page for future reference.
- If there is any mistake in the application, there will be a chance to correct it till May 1, 2026.

Who can apply for UP TET 2026?
To appear in this examination, the candidate must be a graduate from a recognized university. Other than this-
- Class 1 to 5 (Primary Level): D.El.Ed Compulsory
- Class 6 to 8 (Junior Level): Must have D.El.Ed / B.Ed / B.El.Ed
- Candidates who have done 4 year B.El.Ed with 50% marks in 10+2 can also apply.
How will be the UP TET 2026 exam pattern?
Primary Level (Class 1-5)
- Total 150 questions, 150 marks
- Subject: Child Development, Hindi, English, Mathematics, Environment
- There will be no negative marking
Junior Level (Class 6-8)
- Subject: Child Development, Hindi, English, Mathematics, Science, Social Studies
- 1 mark for every correct answer
- No deduction for wrong answers
- Exam Duration: 2 hours 30 minutes
When will UP TET 2026 exam be held?
UP TET 2026 will be conducted on 2, 3 and 4 July 2026. The exam city slip will be released on June 22, 2026, while the admit card may come by the end of June.
