Gold rates witnessed a volatile week in India, moving between gains and losses before ending the week on a weaker note. On Saturday, August 29, 24 Karat gold fell Rs 289 to Rs 15,824 per gram, while 22 Karat gold declined Rs 265 to Rs 14,505 per gram.
The 24K gold price for 10 grams stood at Rs 1,58,240. Meanwhile, silver remained steady for the second consecutive day at Rs 255 per gram or Rs 2,55,000 per kilogram.

In the futures market, MCX gold for the October 5 contract closed Friday’s session on August 28 with a 1.63% decline at Rs 1,56,400 per 10 grams. Gold ended the week around 2-3% lower, with profit booking intensifying after Federal Reserve Chair Kevin Warsh adopted a hawkish stance on inflation, weighing on expectations around future US interest-rate cuts.

The 24K gold rate today is Rs 15,824 per gram in India. Buyers will have to pay Rs 1,58,240 for 10 grams, while the price for 8 grams and 100 grams stands at Rs 1,26,592 and Rs 15,82,400, respectively.
22 Karat Gold Rate Today in India
For 22K gold, the price is currently Rs 14,505 per gram. The rate works out to Rs 1,45,050 for 10 grams, Rs 1,16,040 for 8 grams, and Rs 14,50,500 for 100 grams.
18 Karat Gold Rate Today in India
The 18K gold price stands at Rs 11,868 per gram. The 10-gram rate is Rs 1,18,680, while 8 grams costs Rs 94,944 and 100 grams is priced at Rs 11,86,800.
