On Monday, the prices of both gold and silver increased rapidly in the bullion market of Delhi. Due to new purchases by jewelers, gold of 99.9 percent purity rose by Rs 3,700 to Rs 1,51,500 per 10 grams. Earlier in the last trading session, the price of gold was Rs 1,47,800 per 10 grams. A sharp rise was also seen in the price of silver. Silver rose by Rs 7,000 to Rs 2,37,000 per kg. On Friday its price was around Rs 2,30,000 per kg. According to bullion traders, this rise in the market has happened due to increase in demand for jewelery before the wedding season.
