Mystery Alert: Was there really a violent attack on women at Romeo Lane Night Club in Goa Vagator? FIR registered, bouncers’ violence and ignorance of safety rules raise questions on tourist safety!
Mumbai A serious controversy has erupted at Goa’s Vagator Beach nightclub, with tourists allegedly accusing the Luthra brothers and club staff of violence and assault. Mumbai’s Vaibhavi and her cousins told that a scary incident happened to them in a club on the night of 1 November. There were 13 people in total and the club was very crowded and stuffy. The interior of the club was such that it was difficult to get in and out, there was only one entry and one exit.
Bouncer and staff misbehaved
Vaibhavi told that the structure of the club was very narrow and at a height, due to which it was difficult to get in and out. When they were going out around 3 in the morning, a heavy chair came on the way. His cousin removed it from his foot. The manager got furious at this and angrily grabbed his collar and said that you are spoiling the furniture, you don’t deserve to live here. The manager scolded Vaibhavi’s cousin and said that she should have been thrown out earlier. After that, all the security and bouncers were called and they started chasing the tourists.

Girls were hit on the chest, but why?
As soon as Vaibhavi’s cousin tried to apologize and leave, the manager called all the security staff and bouncers. The bouncers chased him and beat him. Vaibhavi’s sister was hit on the chest and pushed so hard that she fell down the stairs. Barricades were placed at the entry gate so that they could not go out. When his brother removed the barricade, a bouncer ran towards him with a rod and attacked him. Vaibhavi tried to stop him, but she also got hurt.
Story of police and FIR
Despite all being injured they decided not to go to the police station immediately. The next day he went to Anjuna police station and informed about the incident. After much effort, an FIR was registered, but the names of both the club owners were removed by the police, saying that they were not present at the time of the incident. Vaibhavi said that this is a disregard for safety and tourist rules and if the safety of women and tourists is not taken seriously, such cases will continue to happen in Goa.
Tourist safety and nightclub rules
This incident raises questions whether adequate steps are being taken for the safety of tourists and women in Goa. The crowd and entry-exit arrangements in the night club, the behavior of the staff and bouncers, and the prompt action of the police, all these things raise questions on the seriousness of tourist safety.
