Delhi Girl Murder: The murder of 25-year-old girl Sakshi in Kotla Mubarakpur area of South District of Delhi on Tuesday night shook the entire locality. The incident took place in his house, where the police suspect that the incident was carried out by an acquaintance. According to the local people, Sakshi had a fight with someone she knew and in this fight she was attacked with a knife.
How did the incident happen and what did the police find?
According to DCP Ankit Chauhan, at around 9:19 pm the police received information that a girl had been assaulted in Pratap Gali. A call came from the landlord that the tenant girl had a fight with someone and strange noises were being heard in the house. When the police and the caller investigated the flat, traces of blood were found on the stairs and on the upper floor. Sakshi’s body was lying on the floor and the flat was locked from outside.
What was found at the scene?
Police said that liquor bottles and glasses were also recovered from the spot. There were knife marks at four-five places on Sakshi’s body – injuries were clearly visible on the head, neck, hands and face. It was clear from this that the attack was carried out suddenly and brutally.
What did the CCTV tell?
The police also captured the surrounding CCTV footage. In the footage, the accused was seen coming out of the house. Investigation revealed that the accused was staying in Sakshi’s house for the last four days. Local police and district units are working together to identify and arrest the accused.
