Korean culture killed my children
The girls’ father Chetan Kumar said that his daughters’ obsession with Korean culture had reached dangerous levels. My children had developed their own distinct Korean personality. She kept saying that we have to go to Korea. He used to get angry on hearing the name of Indian things. She did not even eat food with Indian name.
Tension increases over mobile phones and Korean drama
According to the father, the girls were continuously watching Korean dramas and videos for the last three-four years. If her mobile phones were taken away, she would not even eat food. Even on the night of suicide, she was using her mobile till midnight.
Daughters used to threaten to die if not sent to Korea
Chetan Kumar claimed that the daughters repeatedly said that they would die if they were not allowed to go to Korea. That night we talked at 8 o’clock and again at 10 o’clock. I was constantly trying to convince her, but she was not ready to listen.
It is wrong to link a loan of Rs 2 crore with suicide.
Regarding the news of the father’s debt of Rs 2 crore, he clearly said that it has nothing to do with the daughters’ suicide. He also rejected that financial constraints were the reason for girls not going to school after COVID-19.

Chetan Kumar had his first marriage 17 years ago. Having no children, he married the younger sister of his first wife for the second time. Later the first wife also became pregnant. He had a son and a daughter from his first wife, while he had three daughters from his second wife, who committed suicide. Police said that the suicide note and other digital evidence are being examined so that the entire reason behind the suicide can be understood. Further investigation is ongoing in the matter.
Three sisters died after jumping from the ninth floor
