Ghaati Box Office Collection Day 1: Anushka Shetty and Vikram Prabhu starrer action crime drama movie released in theatres on September 5. The film received mixed reviews from the audience and the critics on the day of release.
Despite the lukewarm response, Ghaati started well and outperformed. If the movie maintains the same pace at the ticket windows or shows growth in numbers, then it will definitely break records. But at the moment, it has been facing box office clash with Sivakarthikeyan’s Tamil starrer Madharaasi. To be in the long run, Ghaati has to give a tough competition to Madharaasi.

As per Sacnilk, Ghaati earned Rs 2 crore on Day 1. The film had a 23.98 per cent Telugu occupancy on Friday. It had 21.08 per cent occupancy in the morning shows, 21.96 per cent in the afternoon shows, 23.95 per cent in the evening shows and 28.92 per cent in the night shows.

The plot focuses on how she became a legend. Ghaati Anushka Shetty, Vikram Prabhu, Chaitanya Rao Madadi, Jagapathi Babu, Raghav Rudra Mulpuru, Jisshu Sengupta, John Vijay and Ravindra Vijay in pivotal roles. The film has been written by Chintakindi Srinivas Rao and helmed by Krish Jagarlamudi. The Telugu action crime drama movie has been backed by Yeduguru Rajeev Reddy and Saibabu Jagarlamudi. Ghaati has a runtime of 155 minutes. Manojh Reddy Katasani has done the cinematography of the film.
Shetty shared why she chose to say yes to Ghaati and told 123Telugu, “When Krish Garu and writer Chintakindi Srinivas Rao narrated me the script, I found the culture in the Ghaati world to be very interesting. After reaching the locations, I felt we were offering a new experience to the audience in terms of characters, culture and landscape. Krish Garu always takes up stories that are socially relevant. Weed trading and smuggling are burning issues in society currently. We made Ghaati as a commercial action entertainer with an underlying message. The film will spread positive vibes in society.”
