In the review meeting of the Housing Development Department, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath instructed the officers to see the progress of the projects by landing on the ground. Emphasis on transparency, green corridor, release and rain water harvesting in the master plan.

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Saturday in a high -level review meeting of the Housing Development Department, while warning the officials said that “Don’t only be limited to the files, come down on the ground and see how the schemes are actually moving forward”. He said that development work should be not only on paper, but should bring changes in the lives of the public.

The Chief Minister clarified that transparency and scientific approach is required to speed up the state’s infrastructure and urban development works. He said that senior officials should work keeping the public facility at the center and also review the progress.

Emphasis on transparency in master plan and projects

The Chief Minister said that whenever the Development Authority should prepare a master plan, the selection process should be scientific and transparent so that the plans prove practical and effective. He directed that every scheme be prepared with short term, mid -term and long -term vision so that the roadmap of the overall development of the state can be clear.

Yogi said that a total of 38 projects are proposed for the overall development of Meerut, Kanpur and Mathura-Vrindavan at a cost of Rs 1833 crore, including 11 projects in Meerut, 13 in Kanpur and 14 in Mathura-Vrindavan. He said that “every proposal should be finalized only after survey and study at the local level, so that the plans are in line with the regional needs.”

New development pace from Lucknow Green Corridor Project

Referring to the 28 km long Green Corridor project proposed in the capital, the Chief Minister said that connecting various development works of the capital will give new strength to economic activities. He directed that funds for this project and other infrastructure works should be collected through investment loans so that both timeliness and quality are ensured.

Development Authority issue bonds, become self -sufficient

Chief Minister Yogi said that now the time has come that the development authority of the state should become financially self -sufficient. He instructed all the authorities to issue their bonds and said that this will not only increase their income but will also strengthen the public’s trust.

He also said that such projects should be prepared which prove to be “model project” at the national level and give new height to the identity of the state.

Instructions on rain water harvesting and PPP model

CM Yogi also ordered to ensure that the map of any building should be passed only when there is a arrangement of rain water harvesting. He said that issues like water crisis are a serious challenge for the future and keeping this in mind, this system should be made mandatory.

He also directed to take steps towards the construction of the Convention Center on the PPP model. The Chief Minister said that the authority should provide land and investors should build and operate so that the state can get world -class facilities.

New definition of development from long -term vision

The Chief Minister asked the officials not to limit development only to construction work, but should be linked to economic growth, environmental protection and public facilities. He said that schemes should be such that also meet the needs of the coming decades. Yogi finally said, “Transparency in development, public participation and long -term vision will be included as the leading state of developed India.”
