Rapper T-Hood Death: Georgia rapper T-Hood, whose real name was Tevin Hood, has died after being shot at his home in Gwinnett County on Friday evening. The 33-year-old artist, known for songs such as Ready 2 Go, Big Booty, and Perculator, was taken to the hospital but did not survive his injuries. Police have reportedly confirmed they are investigating the incident as a homicide. According to Gwinnett County police, officers responded to a 911 call shortly before 7 p.m. about a domestic dispute at a home on Lee Road in Lilburn, just outside Atlanta. When they arrived, they found T-Hood suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. First responders treated him at the scene before taking him to a nearby hospital, where he later died.
Although authorities reportedly said one person was detained for questioning in connection with the shooting, but no details about the motive have been released. Police are asking anyone with information to come forward. Meanwhile, T-Hood’s mother, Yulanda, confirmed her son was shot at the residence where he lived. She denied rumours that a party was taking place at the time of the shooting. Her statement came after speculation began spreading online about the circumstances of his death.

Tevin Hood Music Career And Achievements
T-Hood was a recognised figure in the Southern rap scene, building a loyal fan base with tracks like Girls in the Party, Yellow Xan, 6 Shades of Z, Red Kush, No Problems (feat. Bear1boss) and Whisper. He was praised for his energetic style and his ability to create catchy, high-energy tracks. In December last year, T-Hood opened up on Instagram about his struggles with mental health and the loss of friends. In a heartfelt post, he spoke about feeling “lost” and “unfocused” but also shared his hope for the future, saying 2025 would be “amazing.” He encouraged fans to check in on their loved ones and spoke of wanting to spread love and happiness for as long as possible.
On the other hand, music producer Deedotwill, who had worked closely with T-Hood, expressed his shock on social media, writing: “We was just on the phone all day. I can’t believe you are gone. REST IN PEACE T-HOOD. I LOVE YOU BROTHER.” Fans also took to social media to pay tribute, with many expressing their sadness and disbelief.
Additionally, at the time of his death, T-Hood was in a relationship with Kelsie Frost, daughter of reality TV personality Kirk Frost. In an emotional statement, she described him as “the love of my life” and said she was devastated. She also addressed false rumours circulating online and asked for respect during this difficult time.
Furthermore, police are continuing to investigate the case, treating it as a homicide. They have appealed for witnesses or anyone with information to contact the Gwinnett County Police Department.
