Gaza War: US President Donald Trump gave a strong message to Hamas, saying that it will have to lay down its arms immediately. He warned that if Hamas did not do so, America would take action itself and get rid of its weapons.
Gaza War: US President Donald Trump said on Tuesday that Hamas should give up its weapons. He warned that if Hamas did not do so, America would forcibly release their weapons. Trump clarified that he did not send this message directly to Hamas but “through my people, at the highest levels.”
“If they do not give up their weapons, we will give up their weapons.”
“If they don’t give up their weapons, we will take away their weapons. It will happen quickly, and it’s possible that there will be violence,” Trump said during a meeting with Argentine President Javier Michele at the White House. Trump also said that people know that he is not playing any game. Trump’s comments have come against the militant group that controls Gaza. Hamas has been accused of not showing transparency in matters related to the condition of hostages and the return of bodies during the October 2023 attacks, leading to criticism in Israel and internationally.

20 Israeli hostages released
Hamas on Monday released the remaining 20 Israeli hostages under the ceasefire agreement. In return, Israel released thousands of Palestinian prisoners. Israel says Hamas has also returned the bodies of four dead hostages. The Israeli army said that on Tuesday, Hamas handed over the bodies of four more hostages from Gaza to Israel. First these bodies were given to the Red Cross, then from there they were handed over to Israel. This step is considered another important effort towards ending the two-year-long war in Gaza Strip and implementing a ceasefire.
