The official sources suggest that the GATE 2026 registration window will be closed on October 6, 2025. Candidates should note that the IIT GATE 2026 application window will be closed without a late fee. One can still apply online for GATE 2026 with a late fee till October 9, 2025.

What is GATE 2026 application fee?
Candidates must pay the application fee of Rs 2000 per paper. It is Rs 1000 per paper for candidates belonging to SC, ST and PwD categories. With the late fee, the GATE exam fee is Rs 1500 for SC, ST, PwD candidates. It is Rs 2500 for all others.
