Gate 2026 Eligibility Criteria: Who can apply?

Candidates who are studying or beyond the third year of degree programs engineering, technology, architecture, science, commerce, arts or humanities can apply. Those who have completed this degree can also apply. This degree must be recognized by Moe, AICTE, UGC, UPSC. Candidates doing these degree programs from abroad can also be included in GATE 2026.

GATE 2026 Application Fees: Application Fee

The applying candidate will have to pay the application fees. In which regular fees for women, SC, ST, PWD candidates are Rs 1000 per paper while during the late fee period Rs 1500 per paper fee will have to be paid. The regular fee for all the other candidates is Rs 2000 per paper while applying for the late fee period, Rs 2500 per paper fee will have to be paid.

To apply online for GATE 2026, follow the easy steps given below-

  • Click on the GATE 2026 Registration link given on the homepage.
  • Now a new page will open in front of you, here you have to register first.
  • After the registration is completed, login from your login details to the account.
  • Now fill the online application form carefully and pay the application fee.
  • After filling all the information, click on submit button.
  • After the application is submitted, download the confirmation page and keep a printout of it safe.
