CM Mohan Yadav Announcements Holiday: Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav declared a holiday in the state on Ganesh Chaturthi. He made major announcements to conduct municipal elections 2027 with direct system and encourage investment and tourism.
Ganesh Chaturthi Holiday Madhya Pradesh: Ganesh Chaturthi is going to be even more special in Madhya Pradesh this time. Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav has announced that there will be a holiday in the entire state on the day of Ganesh Chaturthi. He also instructed that indigenous goods should be used maximum in the upcoming religious events, especially Ganesh Chaturthi and Navratri. He said that idols made of soil and pulp should be given priority and the use of plaster of Paris should be discouraged to preserve the environment.
Committee will be formed to review holiday system
The Chief Minister informed that a committee will be set up to review the holiday system of the state government. He also clarified that in the general election of urban bodies to be held in 2027, the election of the president will be directly from the direct system i.e. directly by the votes of the public.

Steps towards “self -sufficient India”
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that the use of indigenous clothes, decorative materials and other items in religious events will encourage small traders. According to the intention of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, he made a big step towards “self -reliant Madhya Pradesh” and “self -sufficient India”.
Big opportunities for investment in mineral sector
The Chief Minister recently mentioned the achievements of the Mining Conclave held in Katni. Investment proposals of Rs 56,414 crore have been received from this event. In the program, the possibilities of Critical Mineral and Rare Earth Elements were discussed in depth and MoUs were also done with several institutions.
State gets 73,000 crore road development package
Dr. Yadav thanked Union Minister Nitin Gadkari and said that the state has received a gift of road projects worth more than Rs 73,000 crore. This includes projects like Jabalpur-Bhopal Green Field Highway, Indore-Bhopal Corridor, Lakhnadoun-Raipur Four Lane Highway. Apart from this, a tiger corridor will also be built to connect national parks.
Extension of medical colleges
The Chief Minister said that two new medical colleges – Sheopur and Singrauli – have recently been released in the state. With this, the number of government medical colleges has increased to 19. In the coming year, four more medical colleges in Katni, Dhar, Betul and Panna will be ready for education.
Spiritual and tourism conclave
Dr. Yadav announced that Global Spiritual Conclave will be held in Ujjain on August 27, which will include spiritual gurus and more than 300 dignitaries from abroad. At the same time, on August 29-30, the Regional Tourism Conclave will be held in Gwalior, which will create new tourism and employment opportunities.
