Is Chintaman Ganesh Temple really 2000 years old?
Legend has it that this temple was founded by the great emperor king Vikramaditya of Ujjain about two thousand years ago. This temple is located on the banks of the Parvati river in Gopalpur village of Sehore district, about 40 km from Bhopal. It is considered one of the 84 Siddha Ganesh temples. The temple is built at the angle of Sriyantra in the Peshwa style.
