How was Lord Ganesha born?
The story of the birth of Lord Ganesha is found in the Shiva Purana. According to the most famous story of Ganesh birth, Mata Parvati put life in the dirt by putting life in the boil of her body. Due to which Lord Ganesha was born, Mother Parvati made him stand as a gatekeeper and went to bathe herself. He had ordered Lord Ganesha not to let anyone enter. After which Lord Ganesha obeyed his order and stopped Shiva ji in the house. On this matter, Shivji got angry and separated Lord Ganesha’s head from his torso. When Mata Parvati came to know about this, she became very angry, after which Shivji put an elephant’s head in her body and revived her again, After which Ganesh ji is called Gajanan. Birth of Lord Ganesha
Mother Parvati made a child with a paste:- Once Goddess Parvati was going to take a bath, she made a child with boil (sandalwood paste) on her body and put his life with her power.
Naming of the child:- Mother Parvati named the child Ganesh and accepted her son. He ordered Ganesh to watch Ganesh sitting at the door and not let anyone inside.
Shivji’s arrival and anger:- When Lord Shiva reached there at the time of Mata Parvati bathing, Ganpati ji tried to stop him, because Parvatiji was taking a bath. Bholenath got angry after the child did not agree and he beheaded Ganesha with his trident.
Resurrection of Ganesha:- When Mother Partvi came out, she asked Shivji what happened. When she came to know about the child, Mata Parvati became angry. She told Shivji that she will not go anywhere until her son is revived.
Elephant head engagement:- Then Lord Shin first ordered the head of the creature seen, which was the head of an elephant. Shivji revived the elephant’s head with Ganesha’s torso, which gave him his name Gajanan.
Thus, Lord Ganesha was born and was called the deity who defeated all the obstacles.
