The result is a single machine that runs PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X, and Nintendo Switch 2 inside one body. It sounds fake at first read. It is very real.
One console to rule three platforms
The modder, known online as 小宁子 XNZ, wanted to play platform-only games without powering three systems every time. That thought turned into a fully working all-in-one console nicknamed “Ningtendo PXBOX 5”. The project was first detailed by Tom’s Hardware.
XNZ used the old trashcan-style Apple Mac Pro shape as inspiration. The triangular design made sense. Each side could host one console motherboard. PS5, Xbox Series X, and Switch 2 were stripped down to their core boards. Power supplies and coolers were removed. Everything else stayed intact.

Ancient metal craft meets modern gaming
Cooling was the real challenge. A custom triangular heatsink was needed. CNC machining turned out too costly. That is when XNZ turned to lost-wax casting, an old metal technique still used in China.
The process was explained step by step in the build video. A plastic model was coated, heated, melted out, and replaced with molten metal. One attempt failed. Another worked. The finish looked rough, but function mattered more than looks.
Copper plates were added for the PS5 and Xbox. The third side was left bare for the Switch 2, which “doesn’t need cooling”, as XNZ said in the video.

Power limits and smart switching
Power maths mattered here. Both PS5 and Xbox stayed under 5W at idle and peaked around 225W. A single 250W GaN power unit now runs all three systems, but only one at a time.
A custom Arduino board handles switching. Press one big button on top and the system changes consoles in about three seconds. I liked that detail. Simple. Physical. Very console-like.
There are limits though.
- No disc drives. This is digital-only
- Games must be closed before switching
- Two consoles cannot run together
Still, seeing Dong Kong Bananza on Switch 2 flip to Ghost of Yotei on PS5 in seconds feels unreal.
This is not a product. No price. No sales plan. Just pure curiosity and skill.
