“There’s no doubt about her ability. She’s the kind of player who can change a match at any moment. As you saw in our last ODI series in England, she scored a century in the final match. She’s a great player, and we’re fully supporting her. We know what she’s capable of, and I’m sure we’ll see her best in tomorrow’s match. We’re all very positive,” said Deepti.
‘Morale is good despite the losses’
Deepti said that the morale in the team is very good despite their back-to-back losses to South Africa and Australia. The all-rounder said that the team is taking positives from their wins and claimed that the break has helped them.
“I think even though we’ve lost two matches, our morale is still very good. Our first two matches went quite well, so we always go in with a positive mindset. As a team, we focus more on what we’ve done well. And as you mentioned about bowling – in every match, different players take on different roles. Bowlers are stepping up, whether it’s in the powerplay or slog overs. Everyone is contributing. During the break, we’ve made several plans, and I feel we’ve prepared well. Let’s see how it goes tomorrow,” said Deepti.
India will take on England in Indore on October 19 after a week’s break.
