India declared Mallya as a fugitive
Vijay Mallya was declared a fugitive by India in the year 2019. It is alleged that he has allegedly defaulted a loan of Rs 9000 crore. However, for the first time on these allegations, Mallya broke his silence in a podcast recently. He had said that about 14 thousand crore rupees have been recovered from the banks. Mallya went to the UK in the year 2016, since then he has been living there.
These allegations are made on Lalit Modi
Lalit Modi is accused of manipulation of hundreds of crores of rupees. The whole matter is related to the IPL in South Africa in 2009. During that time, the ED had accused Lalit Modi that he had transacted the money to shift the IPL. The ED had imposed a fine of Rs 10.65 crore on Lalit. He was also accused of violating FEMA.
