Chief Election Commissioner Dnyanesh Kumar denied allegations of vote theft. Said, the Election Commission is the same for everyone, all parties are included in SIR. Allegations without proof are an insult to the Constitution and democracy.
Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar: Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar held a press conference on Sunday. During this time, he denied the allegations of the opposition to conspiring for “vote theft” through special intensive revision of voter list in Bihar. The Chief Election Commissioner said that the Election Commission has neither opponent nor supporters. All political parties are the same.
12 main points of the press conference of Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar
1- According to the law, every political party is born through registration in the Election Commission. How can the Election Commission discriminate between those parties? There is no ruling party or opposition for the Election Commission. All are equal.
2-Zero Number! There is a “zero number” in front of the address of crores of people in this country? Why? Because the panchayat or municipality has not given any number to their house. Homeless people also have the right to vote. In such a case, 0 is written in front of the house number.
3- Some voters accused of double voting. When the evidence was sought, there is no answer. Such false allegations are neither afraid nor voters. Politics is being done by placing guns on the shoulder of the Election Commission.
4- For the last two decades, almost all parties have been demanding improvement in voter list. To complete this, the Election Commission has started a special intensive revision (SIR) from Bihar.
5- All voters in SIR have jointly prepared a draft role with 1.6 lakh booth level agents (BLA) nominated by various parties.
6- At the ground level, all voters, political parties and BLOs are working together in a transparent manner. They are certification and signing. Video Testimonials are giving. It is a matter of concern that these documents and district-level party presidents and the voices of BLA nominated by them are not reaching either their state or national level leaders or deliberate confusion is being spread.
7- More than 7 crore voters (in Bihar) stand with the Election Commission. In such a situation, the credibility of Election Commission and voters cannot be questioned.
8- Photos of many voters were presented to the media without their permission. He was accused. Should the Election Commission share the CCTV video of any voter, whether it is mother, daughter -in -law, daughter, daughter?
9- More than 10 lakh booth level agents and more than 20 lakh polling agents work in the Lok Sabha elections. In front of so many people, in such a transparent process, can a voter steal votes?

No candidate or political party received any irregularity in 45 days after the election. Today, after so many days, baseless allegations are being made. The public knows the intention behind this.
11- Machine-reading voter list is banned. The Election Commission has done this after the Supreme Court’s decision in 2019.
12- SIR has not been done in the last 20 years. This process has been done more than 10 times in the country. The main objective of SIR is to purify the voter list. SIR is being done after receiving complaints from political parties.
