New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday inaugurated, dedicated and laid down the foundation stone of various development projects valued at approximately 13,430 crores in Kurnool, Andhra Pradesh. Speaking at a huge mass rally, PM Modi expressed confidence that the 21st century will be the century of India and its 1.4 billion people. He praised the development of Andhra Pradesh with the leadership of the Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu and said that the state is becoming a great centre of self-reliant India.
PM Modi emphasised the fact that Andhra Pradesh is experiencing a fast-paced industrialisation, particularly in the areas of defence production, renewable energy, and new technologies. According to him, the setting up of the Advanced Night Vision Factory at Nimmaluru is a major step towards a self-reliant approach in the defence market, which would further enable India to manufacture superior gadgets and increase defence exports.

Google to set up India’s first AI hub
In his speech, PM Modi has announced that Google will set up the first Artificial Intelligence Hub in Andhra Pradesh, India. He disclosed that the CEO of Google had told him of the biggest investment in the state, which would incorporate the strong AI infrastructure, the advanced data centres, massive sources of energy, and the extended fibre-optic network. This project will also include a new international subsea gateway and several undersea cables to Visakhapatnam, making it a global AI and connectivity centre.
Boost to defence and drone industry
PM Modi praised that the Andhra Pradesh government had resolved to transform Kurnool into the drone hub of India. He claimed that the project will introduce new possibilities to the world of futuristic technologies and open vacancies to new areas. He mentioned the success of the Indian-made drones in Operation Sindoor as evidence of the strengthening of the technological power of the country.
