Yogi Adityanath: In the last eight years, the Yogi Adityanath government has implemented comprehensive welfare schemes for the underprivileged, Dalits, poor and youth of the society. Old age pension has expanded 80% increase, free coaching, education, basic facilities.
Uttar pradesh: The Yogi Yogi government has taken unprecedented steps for the upliftment of the weaker sections of the society in the last eight years. Before 2017, the plans of public interest used to get corruption before reaching the real character. Caste-power and religion were made the basis in providing benefits of schemes, governments did not have any kind of roadmap to make the state a free state. After 2017, the schemes have not only come on track as soon as Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath takes over the reins of the state, but has also brought positive changes in the lives of millions of people. Technical inclusion has increased its scope and effectiveness in the implementation of all public welfare schemes from old age pension to mass marriage and coaching for competitive examinations.
Growth of about 80 percent in the number of beneficiaries of old age pension scheme
Before 2017, the elderly of the state had not only fixed a monthly pension amount of Rs 300, but it was groaning of corruption. After assuming power in the state, the Yogi government has ensured social security of the elderly and farmers of the state by implementing a time -bound and transparent pension process in this scheme. Due to which not only the number of beneficiaries has increased, but they are getting the pension amount easily sitting at home. Prior to 2017, there were 37.47 lakh beneficiaries of old age/Kisan Pension Scheme, increased to 67.50 lakhs in eight years. This shows an increase of about 80 percent. Not only this, the Yogi government increased the pension amount from ₹ 300 to ₹ 1000 per month. Which ensures economic security for the elderly.
8.72 lakh families get the benefit of National Family Benefit Scheme
Under the National Family Benefits Scheme, families below the poverty line, whose head (18-59 years) die, are given financial assistance of ₹ 30,000 by the Yogi government. Before 2017 only 86 thousand families were benefited by this, while in 2024-25, the number of beneficiaries increased and 8,72,896 families got the benefit of the scheme. In the process of giving benefits by the Yogi government, the online system made this scheme transparent and timely, due to which millions of families are taking advantage of this scheme today. Not only this, the Yogi government has done important work in taking out more than 6 crore people from the poverty line in the last eight years on the basis of the mantra of preference to the underprivileged.
Great change came from technical change in scholarship scheme
The Aadhaar-based e-payment system was implemented by the Yogi government by complete computerization of scholarship schemes. In Purvadasham (class 1-8) and Dashmastar (class 9-12), Scheduled Castes (SC) and general category students got its full benefit. Prior to 2017, a total of 41.68 lakhs (East) and 12.80 lakhs (Dashmastar) students of SC were given scholarships, while in the general category, 7.77 lakhs (East) and 5.71 lakh (Dashmastar) were given scholarships in the general category. At the same time, more than 1.70 crore students have got the benefit of scholarship scheme in eight years of Yogi government. The Yogi government implemented the system of Aadhaar based payment system in scholarship distribution and ensured transparency and timeliness in it.
Decreased Dalit atrocities, victims are getting timely financial assistance
Under the Scheduled Castes/Tribes Prevention of Atrocities Prevention Act 1989, the families of the victims are given assistance ranging from ₹ 85,000 to ₹ 8,25,000. Assistance was provided after complaints of atrocities on 16,507 Dalit families before 2017. At the same time, due to the strong law and order of the Yogi government and the unruly rule, there was a huge decline in the atrocities on Dalits. The Yogi government strengthened social justice and in 2024-25 the figures of victims have fallen to 13,436 families.

Chief Minister Group Marriage Scheme settled home of poor daughters
After assuming power in UP, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath gave priority to remove the economic disruption of the marriage of poor daughters. With its implementation, this scheme is proving to be a milestone towards the upliftment of poor daughters. So far, 4,76,207 couples have been completed under the Chief Minister’s Group Marriage Scheme. The Yogi government has made the scheme accessible for the beneficiaries and by doing accessible and asanas.
Free education to 2.65 lakh students in Jai Prakash Narayan Sarvodaya Vidyalaya
Yogi Sarkar is providing free education, housing, uniforms and books to 60% Scheduled Castes/Tribes, 25% Backward Classes and 15% general class students in Jai Prakash Narayan Sarvodaya Vidyalaya. While this scheme benefited 31,484 students before 2017, it increased to 32,538 in 2024-25. In these eight years, on the instructions of CM Yogi, a total of 2,65,666 students have been benefited. Out of 100 schools run by the Social Welfare Department, 41 schools are from the CBSE Board, the remaining 59 are affiliated to the Council of Secondary Education. The Yogi government has further upgraded education by constructing transit hostels in 45 schools. The work of 20 new schools is in progress in the state.
Candidates achieved history by getting free coaching
Under the Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, under the Chief Minister Abhiudaya Yojana, poor meritorious students are being provided free coaching arrangements for competitive examinations like IAS, PCS, JEE, NEET. Starting from 5,128 students in 2020-21, 23,017 students have benefited from this scheme in 2024-25. A total of 76,059 students have been benefited so far. Through this scheme, more than 800 candidates have made history by achieving success by successful in UPSC, 300+ in UPPCS, 50+ in BPSC, 35 in JEE, 100 in NEET and 100+ in police recruitment and 100+ in police recruitment.

Extension in basic facilities for Dalits and deprived under the leadership of CM Yogi
After coming to power from 2017, the Yogi government did remarkable work towards tribe welfare. Under the PM-Janman, basic facilities like education, health, electricity, pucca houses, roads, drinking water, telecom, solar lights are being provided to a particularly weak tribal group (PVTG). All 815 families of the state’s booksa tribe have ensured their social security and development by benefiting from the scheme. Also, 42 Vanagram has been converted into revenue villages and they have been developed. In the field of self -employment, the Yogi government has so far linked 1.08 lakh Dalit youth with self -employment through Uttar Pradesh Scheduled Castes Finance and Finance Development Corporation Limited. Also, to promote their entrepreneurship, Rs 955.49 crore has been approved and given an opportunity to become self -sufficient by giving them loan assistance to about 1.20 lakh Dalits. Most of these beneficiaries have received loans with 50% grant. Under the Pradhan Mantri Adarsh Gram Yojana, 93,400 development works have been done in 1,951 Dalit -dominated villages. The construction of solar lights, toilets, drinking water, roads and public facilities has changed the picture of these villages. About 19 lakh underprivileged living in these benefited from this.
