UP Government Supplementary Budget 2025: UP Government took many major decisions in the supplementary budget. CM Yogi has made many big announcements under tourism, art and culture from Chhatar Manzil to Kaiserbagh and Kalki Dham.
Under the guidance of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, the state government has paid special attention to promoting tourism, art, culture and developing religious places in the supplementary budget. While presenting the supplementary budget in the Legislative Assembly today, the Finance Minister has demanded Rs 1 crore for the UP Eco Tourism Development Board and Rs 5 crore for the development of other tourism facilities. Besides, a grant of Rs 10 crore has been proposed to speed up the development works in Shri Soron and Shri Kalki Dham and other pilgrimage sites. A proposal of Rs 5 crore has been made for the purchase of musical instruments for folk artists and Rs 3 crore 44 lakh has been proposed for the restoration of Chhatar Manzil, Lucknow Directorate of State Archaeology.
Special emphasis on development of eco-tourism and religious places
- In the supplementary budget presented in the Legislative Assembly today, it is proposed to provide an amount of Rs 10 lakh for wide promotion of eco tourism and Rs 1 crore to Uttar Pradesh Eco Tourism Development Board for development of natural sites, forest areas and facilities in rural tourism. Besides, a requirement of Rs 5 crore has been expressed for works related to tourism, passenger facilities and institutional development under various schemes.
- A grant of Rs 10 crore has been specifically proposed for the development of tourism related infrastructure facilities in other religious places including Shri Soron Teerth, Kasganj and Shri Kalki Dham, Sambhal area. With this amount, roads, lighting, information centres, toilets, drinking water and other basic facilities will be expanded in the pilgrimage areas. Besides, a grant of Rs 10 crore has been sought for developing helipad facilities at district and block headquarters.
Supplementary demand for folk artists
Supplementary demands have also been placed for the development of art and culture in the state. Under this, Rs 5 crore has been demanded for support to folk artists and purchase of musical instruments, as well as Rs 1 lakh symbolically for the maintenance of public Ramlila sites. A demand of Rs 1 lakh has been made for the conservation and curation of museums in the state and Rs 3 crore 44 lakh has been demanded for the restoration of State Archeology Directorate Chhatar Manzil, Lucknow. Besides, a demand of Rs 1 lakh has been made for the construction of house for the establishment of Sanjeevani Secondary School. These efforts of the government will provide a new dimension to tourism and eco-tourism in the state, as well as increase employment opportunities and strengthen the local economy.
