From 7D theater to digital shows, the valor of Gorkha soldiers is now in the museum. Gorakhpur Gorkha War Memorial Museum Inaugation CM Yogi

In Gorakhpur, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath laid the foundation stone of Gorkha War Memorial and Museum at a cost of 45 crores. The project will honor the valor of Gorkha soldiers and strengthen the cultural relations of India-Nepal.

Gorkha War Memorial Gorakhpur: Whenever the saga of valor and valor echoes in the beats of history, the name of the Gorkha Regiment comes first. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath laid the foundation stone of the beautification and museum construction project of Gorkha War Memorial at Kudaghat in Gorakhpur to cherish this immortal saga to generations. This project of Rs 45 crore is aimed at honoring the sacrifice of Gorkha soldiers, but further strengthening the deep cultural and historical relations of India-Nepal.

Bhoomipujan amidst Vedic chanting

Chief Minister Yogi performed Bhoomipujan of the museum amidst Vedic chanting and worship at Maa Kali temple. During the program, a short film based on the Gorkha Recruiting Depot was shown and the dance and songs depicting the Gorkha tradition captivated everyone. CM Yogi also honored the heroes of Gorkha martyrs on this occasion.

“Kalam today his Jai Bol” -Lines of Dinkar echoed

Addressing the program, CM Yogi quoted the famous lines of Ramdhari Singh Dinkar and said that the glorious tradition of Gorkha soldiers is an inspiration for the coming generations. Referring to the Panch Pran of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, he said that it is the duty of all of us to respect the brave soldiers.

The Chief Minister said that when the bravery of the Indian Army is discussed, the name of Gorkha soldiers is a pioneer. With the announcement of “Jai Mahakali, Aayo Gorakhhali”, his Ranbheri ringing forces the enemy to retreat. From the British-Gorakha War of 1816 to independent India, the Gorkha soldiers always forced the enemies to kneel.

20% reservation for firemen

Describing the monument as inspiration for the generations to come, CM Yogi said that the history of uniforms, weapons and battles of the Gorkha Regiment will be displayed in this museum. He also reiterated that the soldiers returning from (Agniveer Scheme) will be given 20% reservation in the UP Police.

CM Yogi said that this monument will not only make thousands of former Gorkha military families experience pride, but will also increase the attraction towards the army among the youth. Referring to the Sainik School established in Gorakhpur, he described it as a big step towards realizing the resolution of “Nation First”.

“Memorial to be a symbol of civil -militant fusion” -CDS

Chief of Defense Staff General Anil Chauhan, who was present in the program, said that this war monument will be a symbol of civil-militant fusion. He recalled the indomitable courage of the Gorkha soldiers, the Indo-Nepal relations and their centuries-old service spirit. He said that this renewal will become a medium to honor the past and inspire the future.
