In Mathura, a young man has been arrested for raping a girl by calling her to Vrindavan on the pretext of meeting Saint Premanand. Police gave information about this. Police sources said on Sunday that this incident took place on the night of September 12.
He told that Sundaram, a young man living in Radha Niwas near Cholera Hospital in Brindavan, had become a friend of a girl living in Agra through social media. He said that the girl was a follower of the famous saint Premanand of Vrindavan and on her request, Sundaram messaged her one day (on August 10) that he could help her meet the saint, on which the girl agreed. Sources said that after this, on September 12 last month, he again sent a message saying that arrangements for a private meeting had been made.
Sant Premanand will meet him at 4.30 in the morning. On this the girl reached Vrindavan with her brother at midnight. He told that Sundaram stopped his brother in the parking lot saying that the car would not be able to go further and he himself took him away on the motorcycle promising to take him for darshan.
He told that instead of taking him directly to the saint’s ashram, he took him to a hotel named Radhakrishna Dham and asked him to take some rest and brought him coffee. As soon as she drank it, the girl became unconscious. He told that after this the young man raped the girl and made obscene photo-video of her.
Later, he raped her several times after making those photo-videos viral and threatening to kill her. Sources said that after getting fed up, the victim lodged a report in the police station three days ago under sections 64(1) and 351(3) of the Indian Justice Code. The police searched him through surveillance and arrested him on Saturday afternoon from Devraha Baba Ghat Road, produced him in the court and from there he was sent to jail.
