When Abhishek and Reshma informed the family about their relationship, opposition started from both sides. The reason was clear, a Hindu boy and a Muslim girl. The protest grew so much that their meetings were banned and the pressure kept increasing. In such circumstances, both of them decided to break the restrictions of society and religion.
After not getting the consent of the family, Abhishek approached a Pandit in a temple in Rae Bareli. After this Reshma also quietly left the house and reached the temple. Both of them took seven rounds as per Hindu customs and took an oath in front of the idol of God to remain together for seven lives.
