After leaving ADOR and officially ending her ties with HYBE in November 2024 following a long dispute, former CEO Min Hee-Jin has started a new chapter with her company, OK Records. At her first press conference since launching the company, she shared updates on her upcoming boy group and her plans for the future. Min said she wants to move away from the traditional K-pop formula and create a group that connects with people who genuinely enjoy music and culture. Although the lineup and debut date are yet to be confirmed, she hinted that fans can expect a major announcement in the next few months.

Speaking at a press conference held at the Seoul Foreign Correspondent’s Club, shared her vision for the first boy group under OK Records. She said she does not want to follow the traditional K-pop business model, which often focuses on specific age groups or short-term success. Instead, she hopes to build a group that appeals to a wider audience and connects with people who genuinely appreciate music and culture. According to Min, the goal is to create something that can be enjoyed across generations rather than chasing trends.
While the official lineup and debut schedule have not been finalised, Min hinted that fans will not have to wait too long for more details. She revealed that some form of announcement is expected in about two months, suggesting that the project could be unveiled around September or October. The upcoming act will mark the first major project under OK Records since Min launched the company after her departure from ADOR.

During the press conference, Min was also asked about her ongoing legal disputes with her former agency ADOR and its parent company, However, she declined to discuss the matter in detail. Instead, she expressed disappointment with how South Korean media portrayed the incident, remarking that the reports were biased. Choosing not to comment further on the legal proceedings, Min decided to focus instead on her new label and its future plans.

Meanwhile, for the unversed, Min Hee-Jin officially left ADOR and HYBE in November 2024 after a months-long dispute. The conflict began when HYBE accused her of attempting to take control of ADOR, a claim she denied. Min also accused HYBE’s subsidiary, Belift Lab, of copying NewJeans’ concept for ILLIT. After being removed as ADOR’s CEO in August 2024, she remained an internal director before resigning and ending her relationship with the company later that year.
