Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar on Monday announced the second phase of Special Intensive Revision (SIR 2.0). Under this campaign, special verification of voter lists will be done in 12 states and union territories across the country from November 4, 2025. According to the Election Commission, BLOs will go door-to-door and check the names, addresses and details of voters. This phase includes Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, Chhattisgarh, Gujarat, Goa, Kerala, Tamil Nadu, West Bengal, Puducherry, Andaman-Nicobar and Lakshadweep. Will be released on 7 February 2026.
